Tracks Available

Training Components
- Clinical Experience - fellows engage in direct patient care, applying cognitive-behavioral therapies and other interventions for sleep disorders such as insomnia.
- Research Opportunities - participation in ongoing research projects within the Sleep and Circadian Research Laboratory.
- Didactic Training - access to lectures, seminars, and grand rounds within the Johns Hopkins University campus, covering topics in sleep medicine and behavioral health.
- Supervision - a minimum of two hours of direct supervision per week, following a sequential development model.
Eligibility
Candidates should have completed a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and an APA-accredited internship.
Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) Training Program
The University of Utah's Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) training program, established in 2003, offers comprehensive education in sleep disorders and their behavioral treatments. Accredited by the Society for Behavioral Sleep Medicine, the program is designed for advanced students and professionals in fields such as clinical or counseling psychology and social work.
Eligibility Criteria
- Enrollment in a graduate-level program focused on patient education, counseling, or mental health.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience, including exposure to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Program Goals
- Develop interpersonal and communication skills with patients and treatment teams.
- Achieve clinical competence in behavioral medicine evaluations and BSM-specific treatments.
- Understand the role of a psychologist within a medical team.

Behavioral Sleep Medicine Training Program
The University of Pittsburgh's Center for Sleep and Circadian Science offers a Behavioral Sleep Medicine (BSM) Training Program accredited by the Society for Behavioral Sleep Medicine. This program aims to prepare participants for the Diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine (DBSM) certification.
